had seen my muse, it was hiding behind a shelf....wafting chocolate biscuits under its nose tempted it back, I am inspired & the loveliest of ladies...Kath & Ann are to be thanked most definitely....
Now whilst bleeping, stacking, shuffling & smiling yesterday in my fabbity fab job at the local library, I was chatting away in the high speed, car chase manner at which I am accustomed, to the loveliest of ladies i could ever hope to spend my working hours with, about my new selling venture (which is almost almost ready to begin).
Now Kath has an understanding of the love of all things vintage & thrifty as her daughter is one of the lucky souls who chooses to walk that path.....and Kath works in an office above the bestest age concern shop EVER...
Now whilst pausing for a slight second in my high speed ramblings Kath mentioned the most inspired lady working at this most excellent of stores, enter Ann.
Now Ann is also a collector of things, but especially those heading for the rubbish bin, unwanted & unloved on the shelves of the shop, those cast aside like an old shoe destined for the dump....
Kath had a quiet word & introductions were made and now I have a like-minded contact in the treasure trove of thrift, my muse has played a trump card..
The second delight of the day was due to the kindest of ladies in the interior design shop where I buy my monthly pot of paint....a whole book of wallpaper samples....given freely, what a delight.
SO my friends, readers & my little sister who is yet to leave a lovely comment for her big sister, my muse is back and definitely playing to win (thank goodness cause to be honest I was getting sick of my own miserable posts)
rachelle xoxo
Nothing miserable about this post. Just a couple of fab stories and some pretty mindblowing finds instead! Bless your muse, and bless you too xo ps is that some kind of fancy pouffe with legs?
ReplyDeleteI never knew it existed, but I now have 'wallpaper sample book envy'! Is this a recognised condition? I love the sound of the Burnley scrapstore - I wonder if there's anywhere like that in the West Country. Anyhoo - glad you got you mojo back!!! Jen x
ReplyDeleteOH!
ReplyDeleteThat red & white stool!
OH! OH! OH!
I want it.
I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEED it.
Damn you for already owning it, on the other side of the world no less.
So your muse is partial to choccie biscuits eh...? They may be related, your muse & mine, 'cept when enticed with goodies my muse just sits & stuffs her face on the couch, & 'inspires' me to do the same....
i'm glad you're back in the game ... and with such lovely goodies to share. i'm off for a further look around.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful images - I love everything there!!
ReplyDeleteOooh, lots of lovely goodies here! And isn't it nice to meet a like minded individual who has thriftiy taste?
ReplyDeleteNow I want a wallpaper sample book too...
So the muse position is no longer vacant - that's a shame, I really like chocolate biscuits!
ReplyDeleteHaving an insider at the charity shop is about as good as it gets though isn't it?
Can't wait to see your new shop now.
That footstool is fantastic!! Lucky you! I'm popping by from the My Place & Yours meme and just thought I'd say hi.
